Create antique-looking patinas on your silver surfaces.
The resulting patina is basically an inert compound, and is exactly the same as the normal tarnish on silver, simply accelerated and deepened. Silver will continue to slowly tarnish from the sulfides in the atmosphere and on your skin naturally, unless the silver is coated with some form of protectant.
LOS works best when the piece is highly polished/finished.
How to use liver of sulfur?

The warmer the water, the quicker the patina develops. But don’t use boiling water.
